I bought these shades for my new home with 30+ windows and until I knew what to do with the window dressings, these work just fine. I like how easy they are to install and how good they look. They are a little tricky to cut with the tool they provide; you need to cut them to size with a hack sawish type tool…I used a like ginsu knife (one that cuts through anything) and it seemed to cut o.k. They have 2 draw strings in the middle to pull them up and let down, so to pull them up evenly on both sides, you have to grab the strings in the middle and levvel them. Inexpensive solution until you know what you want to do.…

Recently purchased these shades for some of my windows until we are ready for more permanent blinds and they are great. They look decent and open and close very easily. I bought more time than I expected until I need to buy “real” blinds.

Great shade — Not great adhesive

I really liked these shades but I had two of them up for about a month when they both fell down. After trying several adhesives that I had, I replaced them with the extra paper shades that I had stored. This would be a great product if it had better adhesive.

I love my new Redi Shades BUT I would just like you to know that after only one month’s time one of them fell down. The foam tape was just not working. There are only two small pieces attached to the tops of each shade and I believe that they really need an entire strip attached across the entire length of the shade. The fix is easy though, I just went to the store and bought some more foam tape to put on the shade and now it’s back up and working fine. Suggestion to the MFG. PUT MORE TAPE ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE TOP OF THE SHADES !!

I just rennovated my bathroom and I have a frosted window right next to my bathtub, but I feel that there still is no privacy. I did not want to drill holes in the tile. I looked all over for shades or some sort of shade. These shades are just so nice. They look better than some of the custom made shades. I have intention of buying more. They are great if you are painting your windows and have not decided what kind of window treatment to put up yet. You can put these up temporarily and have something covering your window.

    I highly recommend these.

This is a great, easy to use window treatment that was much better in person. I love them.

They were very easy to put up, in only a minute or two. Not the highest quality, but not bad. Definitly worth the money

I ordered this shade yesterday via standard shipping and got it TODAY! It would be different if I were living in the city or suburbs, but no… my area of residence is VERY rural, so this feat is amazing in and of itself!

The old shade in my computer room looked so pathetic, but I was leary of replacing with something I had to cut to size myself. The included instructions made this extremely easy! The only difficult part was actually cutting with the utility knife, but I managed. Luckily, it came with a cutting guide as well. Using this, there’s no way you can accidentally make a crooked cut.

This shade is very nice and very durable. Putting it up was a breeze. If you fear the sticky pads might not hold it (trust me, they have plenty of sticking power) or desire to make it more permanent, you can do what I did– after sticking it up, pull the shade down a bit until you have access to the under side of the top. After this, install a wood screw through the center and about an inch from the edges (yes, into the window casing…unless doing do might do harm to your window somehow). Another idea might be to use some velcro. I now have a permanent window shade that looks great inside and from outside again. I’ll definitely be buying more of these as needed for the rest of the house! They’re attractive, simple to size and install, and cost little. You can’t beat that!

    I did it myself!

I have been needing new shades for quite awhile, but have put it off because I am so not handy. When I saw these, I thought I might actually be able to do the job, and if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be out that much. I needed to put 2 into one big window. I couldn’t figure out how to overlap them, so I put one up full size and trimmed one. Trimming was the hardest part. I didn’t buy the trim tool and now wish I had. I did get the job done with a combination utility knife, serrated knife, and scissors. Don’t look too closely at it, but I did get the job done. One of the sticky pads didn’t want to hold and I didn’t want to hold it long enough to get it to stick. I have a dust mop with an extension handle, so I put it on the sill and extended the handle up to the shade and tightened it. I left it for several hours and it is now sticking. The best part is I was able to resolve any difficulties I encountered. I feel proud of myself and I even slept later this morning because the room was darker! I hope it keeps my son’s dog from getting me up early when he visits!
